Instruction changes for building the breadboard menorah with the shamash on the end.
Follow the notes below to build your breadboard menorah with the shamash on the end rather than in the middle. Please read all the way through prior to bending or clipping any resistors or jumpers!
In Step 2
- One of the 0.5” jumpers should be left straight and unclipped
- One more of the 0.5” jumpers should be made 0.7” instead
- Use a clipped lead from one of the resistors (ideally from one trimmed to the 0.4” length) to make an extra 0.4” jumper (which will look like a staple)
- The 51 ohm resistor gets bent in a U-shape
In step 3C
- the switch goes in row i (instead of j) from 30 to 33
In step 3E
- The extra 0.7” jumper goes from 50 f to 55 c
- Use extra 0.4” jumper goes from 32 j to the lower blue stripe
- The 51 ohm resistor goes from 31 c to 32 c
In step 4
- Prepare a Red LED according to the Yellow LED instructions, but instead twisting one zero-ohm jumper to each leg. On the long lead, place the body of the jumper slightly lower so that you can tell them apart. Insert from 55 a (long lead) to the blue stripe (short lead).
In Step 5
- The Yellow LED goes from 31 a to the blue stripe
